Kilkenny Bay Association activities for 2022

Dear Members,

Finally, after 2 years of Covid, the Board of Directors would like to welcome everyone back for a fun-filled summer. Please remember to check our web site at kilkennybayassociation.org to find any updated information.

The schedule below is tentative, depending on volunteers and the number of members available for the activities. We will be having a “Roaring 20’s” themed regatta this year. Any ideas for races & decorations will be decided at the meeting.

Kilkenny Bay Association activities for 2021

Dear Members,

The Board of Directors – President Patrick Roberts, Neil Mabon, L.J.Mazur, Monica Rothwell, Vincent Demers, Katie Geiger and Louse Mabon would like to welcome everyone to Kilkenny Bay.

We have all lived through a very difficult and unique year. We have had to adapt our lives to meet the new reality, brought on by the Pandemic. We know some of you had to make sacrifices and hard choices over the year and trust things are looking up. We hope those who live far away will be able be with us this year.

We feel we must remain vigilant yet flexible this summer to allow members to enjoy the beach while respecting the Government’s recommendations and best practice, allowing us to safely enjoy summer at the lake this year. At this time, masks and/or social distancing is still recommended.

The situation is evolving on a weekly basis making it impossible for us to plan any activities. The beach will be open, we hope to have the wharves and raft in the water by the beginning of July. We will have to play it by ear and see what happens.

Despite the situation, we still need to cover our expenses and fixed costs and we ask the members to pay their membership fees as soon as possible.

In order to make everyones life easier, you can now pay your Membership dues via E-TransferThey can be sent directly to LJ at:  treasurer@kilkennybayassociation.org, or you can pay her directly.

Update on Kilkenny Bay Association activities for 2020

Dear Members,

We would like to give you some more information with regards to the Coved 19 situation here at the lake. The authorities are updating and adapting their guidelines on a weekly if not daily basis. Following the lead of the Quebec Government, the Municipality has decided to cancel all activities until August 31st. Those who wish to launch their boats will be able to purchase the permit and have the boat washed at the same location. Please check the schedule on the Municipality’s website.

As previously stated, our beach will be open with limited access as the raft, wharves and benches will not be put out this year. Those of you who will be able to enjoy the beach are asked to pay their dues as per our by-laws. To make it easier, you can pay your membership via E-Transfer at tresaurer@kilkennybayassociation.org (please note the unique spelling). We still need to cover our fixed costs such as Taxes, Insurance and upkeep. You may also give your cheque or cash to L.J. if she is able to make it, or Patrick.

We ask you to use the individual chairs on the beach while maintaining a safe distance at all times as wearing a mask into the water is not practical. The health of all those on the beach is important especially our older members, please protect them as well as yourselves. We hope to put this behind us as soon as possible and look forward going back to our regular schedule in the future.

Stay safe and healthy,

Your Directors
